Dark plums, crushed dark berries, cocoa beans, dried orange and moist bark. Medium-bodied, spiced and racy with sleek tannins and vivid acidity. Flavorful and silky.
93 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Sourced primarily from Oak Knoll, the 2021 Zinfandel Black Chicken delivers briar-laced bramble-berry fruit, plus a decent dose of vanilla (maturation was in 25% new French oak). Full-bodied, it's creamy, ripe and lush, with a slightly herbal tang on the lingering finish.
92 Jeb Dunnuck
Tobacco, cigar, red and black plums, and strawberry notes all emerge from the 2021 Zinfandel Black Chicken, a medium-bodied, elegant, seamless Zinfandel that has light tannins and a great finish.
92 Wine Enthusiast
A touch of maple sweetness tops boisterous, bright fruit flavors in this fullbodied, smooth and lightly tannic wine from one of Napa’s few Zinfandel specialists. Raspberries, strawberries and vanilla taste rich and relaxed as you sip.

The Calling Russian River Pinot Noir 2022
$34.99
RALEY'S $42.84*
This is our homage to the legendary Russian River Valley AVA, crafted from a variety of vineyard sources throughout the region with the goal of highlighting the Russian River's iconic Pinot Noir style. The 2022 had a cold start and a warm finish with an early harvest due to warm August and September weather and a lighter crop. This resulted in an excellent vintage and good growing season with no lingering heat waves. Because of the growing season, wines have exceptional flavors, are intense with great color, fruit forward and ripe.

90 Wine Enthusiast
Ripe fruits and lemony acidity come together well in this full-bodied and rather broad-textured wine that’s substantial enough for buttery fish and creamy pasta dishes. Honeydew melon, Granny Smith apples and lemonade notes fill in the middle.
90 James Suckling
A dusty nose with fresh lemons, sliced apples, white flowers and crushed stones. Medium-bodied and a little oily with ripe stone fruit and creamy texture on the center-palate. Sleek finish.
