Lovely aromas of strawberry tart with dried peach and some cotton candy. Full-bodied, layered and attractive tension and creaminess. Nice fruit at the end but always fresh. Shows some finesse. A blend of 55% chardonnay and 45% pinot noir. 2019 base. Three years on the lees. 8g/L dosage.

While this wine feels gentle, its briskness brightens its scents of strawberries and nasturtiums. It’s pinot noir at the cusp of ripeness, holding a floral green note that would take on duck rillettes.
90 Connoisseurs' Guide
Spot on with respect to Rosé’s fruitier bent but exhibiting a fine yeasty trim of autolysis and lots of youthful energy, this one is a vivacious, slightly lighter, carefully composed example of the genre that is both moderately rich and light on its feet. Juicy yet graceful and quietly complex, it is a pleasure to pour now with or without food, but its youthful brightness is such that it promises to keep famously and provide happy drinking for at least another three or four years. And, its relatively modest price belies just how good it is.

A consistently well-crafted Pinot Noir at a great price, the 2019 vintage of "Red Cap" is no exception. Vibrant aromas of Bing cherry, red plum, stewed fruit and a whiff of geranium introduce a mouthful of Marionberry, cherry and sundried tomato. The palate is smooth and the structure has gumption, offering a zesty finish.

This wine is sourced from vineyards in Napa Valley, including land that has been in the family of Jenny Wagner’s maternal relatives (the Emmolos) for generations. We seek out areas with light gravelly soil and ideal growing conditions that enable longer “hang time” for the grapes to achieve full ripeness. We also utilize techniques like crop thinning to produce an elegant, distinctive Merlot. This wine has expansive, dark berry flavors, a fresh earthiness and smooth, leathery tannins.

Crafted from mountain and valley-floor fruit, this voluptuous wine reveals aromas of spiced blackberry, blueberry cobbler, black currant, milk chocolate and licorice. On the palate, lively acidity adds poise and brightness to the blackberry and black raspberry flavors, with rich, chocolaty tannins and notions of black tea adding suppleness and sophistication to a long, luxurious finish.

97 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2019 Oublié is a blend of Syrah, Mourvèdre, Tannat and Petite Sirah with a medium ruby-purple color. The nose offers gregarious mixed berry preserves and accents of potpourri, mint and fragrant earth. The palate offers juicy appeal and powerful fruit with loads of spice and floral perfume, bursts of freshness and firm, pleasantly rustic tannins, finishing very long.
95 Vinous
Shimmering ruby. Highly perfumed aromas of fresh dark berries, cherry cola, pungent flowers and sandalwood, along with a hint of smokiness. Intense, sharply detailed blueberry, bitter cherry, candied lavender and exotic spice flavors show noteworthy energy and back-end lift. Closes juicy, focused and very long, with repeating blue fruit character and well-knit tannins lending subtle grip.
94 Jeb Dunnuck
This cuvée used to be a kitchen sink-like catch-all, but today, it seems to always be a classic GSM-like blend. The 2019 boasts a deep purple hue to go with terrific blackberry and darker cherry fruits as well as notes of spice, chocolate, and ground pepper. Deep, rich, medium to full-bodied, and perfectly balanced, it has another 10-15 years of prime drinking.
92 Wine Spectator
Generous, with black raspberry, smoky garrigue and black licorice flavors that build richness and structure toward medium-grained tannins.
